Accessing the Help Centre

This short video shows you how to access the Help Centre and search for help articles, or you can follow the written instructions below.

Accessing the Help Centre if you are not logged in

If you need assistance when on the log in page you can access this in two ways.

Click on the Help Centre icon in the middle of the page.

You will be taken to the Help Centre where you can access information that will assist you in logging into ECT Manager or if you are having problems logging in.

Or you can click on the orange 'Help & Support' button in the top right.

From this page you can:

  • Access the telephone numbers you can call for assistance

  • Request your username and password to be sent

  • Access the FAQs that your Appropriate Body have added to the system to assist you

  • Access the Help Centre with the information above to assist you to log in

  • Click through to raise a Helpdesk ticket

Accessing the Help Centre if you are logged in

The Help Centre contains many help articles on using ECT Manager. You will only see articles that are relevant to your role.

On every page in ECT Manager you will see a Help Centre icon in the bottom right of your screen.

Click on the icon and you will be able to search the help articles. The Help Centre will suggest certain help articles depending on the ECT Manager page you are on or you can type your question or a key word into the search bar to access a help article. If you don't know what to type you can view ALL help articles by clicking into the search bar or clicking on 'Help' at the bottom of the pop up box.

Use the arrows on the Help Centre pop up to exit the article, make it smaller or larger or close the Help Centre.

You can also access the Help Centre and submit helpdesk tickets to your Appropriate Body by clicking on the orange 'Help & Support' button in the top right of ECT Manager.

They will be taken to the Help & Support page

From this page you can:

  • Access the telephone numbers you can call for assistance

  • Access the FAQs that your Appropriate Body have added to the system to assist you

  • Click through to submit a Helpdesk ticket to your Appropriate Body

  • Access the Help Centre

Your Help Centre

When you click through to the Help Centre you will be able to click into the specific articles you wish to read from the list, or you can use the 'search' bar at the top to search for the article or help guide you need.

When you have entered a search into the search bar the Help Centre will suggest useful articles.

You can then select the article that is relevant.

Within the articles are detailed step by step instructions. There is a contents menu down the right hand side so you can quickly navigate to the section you wish to read. Some of the articles contain helpful training videos also.

You can submit a helpdesk ticket on ECT Manager to your Appropriate Body. This can be about the induction process, a progress review or assessment, a question about ECT Manager, or anything.

PLEASE CHECK YOU ARE ON THE CORRECT APPROPRIATE BODY SYSTEM BY CHECKING THE NAME ON THE LOGIN PAGE OR THE LOGO IN THE TOP LEFT OF THE SCREEN.

Helpdesk ticket instructions

You can raise a helpdesk ticket using the helpdesk function on ECT Manager. You must ensure you are on the correct Appropriate Bodies login page so the ticket goes to the correct Appropriate Body. Check the logo in the top left of the screen.

Click on 'submit a new support ticket' and complete the form. This ticket will be sent to the Appropriate Body for them to respond to.
